Manta Cruise (Abyss World)
Manta Cruise was completed in 2006 and she has been cruising the Maldivian waters ever since, from the far north to the deep south in a quest to provide the perfect itinerary. Crucially, the owners have elected to not run cruises during seasons when the quality of diving might be compromised – a sure sign of the fantastic quality and service you can expect form sailing on her. She rivals other top quality liveaboards to provide a perfect combination of a sun soaked relaxing holiday with maximum diving opportunities.
Manta Cruise has a purpose built “diving dhoni”. The dhoni is a locally built boat, equipped with compressors, dive storage areas and sun protection. Her shallow draft allows access to many more dive sites that could not be reached by a large vessel and in addition the dhoni is distanced from the main vessel during tank filling sessions so you can enjoy the tranquillity of the Maldives in peace and quiet without a noisy compressor.
A maximum of 18 guests can be accommodated in her 9 staterooms. 2 more spacious suites on the upper deck offer double beds. The 7 other staterooms offer two single beds adjacent to each other (4 of which can be connected to make a double). All staterooms have a private en-suite bathroom and individual air-conditioning. The saloon boasts a large dinning area and a TV.
Between dives, guests can relax on the sun loungers on either of the two sun decks, while non-sun worshipers can choose to sit in a more shaded area. For those who have not had enough time in the water you can relax in the Jacuzzi on the bow of the vessel while the Maldivian Islands sail past you.
Manta Cruise operates 4 individual itineraries for 7,9,11 or 13 nights from November to April. Check our online liveaboard calendar for details of which itineraries are offered on which cruise dates.
