PATUNO RESORT WAKATOBI

Patuno Resort, located on Wangi-Wangi Island in the Wakatobi region of the Tukang Besi archipelago was opened to guests in December 2009. Stretching along a paradisiacal white sandy beach which runs parallel to the stunning house reef, Patuno Resort comprises five Executive Bungalows, ten Deluxe Rooms and fourteen Standard Rooms. All accommodations have air conditioning and en-suite bathroom facilities. Standard Rooms are either double or twin with a mini fridge and a shared balcony. Deluxe Rooms are either double or twin with flat screen TV, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and a private balcony. Executive Bungalows have large bathrooms with a bathtub. They have king-sized beds, large wardrobes, mini fridge, flat screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and a sofa.
The scenic jetty restaurant allows guests to enjoy the wonderful views over the beach. Diners can sit inside or enjoy dinner alfresco over the water. Breakfast is served buffet style and divers can choose from breads, omelettes or eggs cooked to your liking, porridge or cereal, Indonesian fried rice and fresh fruit and juices. Lunches and evening meals comprise a range of Indonesian and western dishes with much of the ingredients coming from gardens on the island. The bar offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, so whether you enjoy a cold beer after the day of diving or something more substantial from the spirit rack, the chances are you can be catered for!
The small library is equipped with comfortable chairs and sofas and offers free WIFI. Here you can also enjoy sea views. A small shop stocks many essential items for your convenience such as toiletries, snacks, drinks, cigarettes, Wakatobi T-Shirts, and a range of other Wakatobi souvenirs.
As well as diving guests can partake in whale and dolphin watching trips. Pilot Whales, Sperm Whales and Grey Whales can often be found and dolphins frequently play with the boats. Trips generally take 2-4 hours and prices include snacks and soft drinks. You can also enjoy banana boat riding, bicycle rental or even learn to sail a dugout canoe with its bamboo mast and plastic sail!
PATUNO RESORT WAKATOBI DIVE CENTER
Two wooden dive boats accommodate up to ten divers each. Patuno 1 is a custom built dive boat, and Patuno 2 is a modified pleasure fishing boat. Both boats have toilet facilities on board, shady areas, towels, tea & coffee making facilities and fresh water tanks for rinsing cameras. Three small speed boats are used for diving on the house reef. The Patuno Resort Wakatobi Dive center offers the full range of PADI dive training courses from PADI Open Water up to PADI Divemaster. Rental equipment is available but should be pre-booked.
